An art collective that houses 75-100 creatives, NW Marine Art Works is known for its fantastic Open Studios in the historic Guilds Lake pocket within the Slabtown neighborhood. Events in this unique space attract frequent market-goers along with a seasoned clientele who appreciate the arts & supporting small businesses.
(Historically, ”Slabtown” encompassed the area north of NW Lovejoy Street up to the Willamette River! Recently, some people with financial interests have tried to erase history by narrowing “Slabtown” down to just a few commercial blocks surrounding some new high rise apartments. However, the NW industrial area of Portland is indeed part of Slabtown! #pdxhistory)
